Senior Session Tips

First things first - congratulations SENIOR on making it here! This is such a fun and exciting time of life; I loved both my senior year of high school and college. You are going to have a great year - I can feel it!

Now, let’s talk about some tips on how to rock your senior session!

1. Pick a season and location you love! This could be a representation of your personality, the high school you’re graduating from, or even your own backyard. If you’re not sure where you want to take your pictures but you know you want a field, water, or a cityscape background, ask your photographer and they can provide recommendations or pick the location.

2. Have two or three outfits picked out. Often photographers have a number of outfits for you to bring to your session so be sure to ask them before you book or go to your photoshoot. Wear complimentary fitting clothing and colors. For example, avoid wrinkled clothing or avoid wearing a green shirt if your pictures are going to be in a park with green grass and green trees as your background. You want to look good which will in turn make you feel good!

3. Bring some props! Maybe bring things like a letter board, cap and gown, sports gear, confetti, or bubbles. these are all fun things that show more of you! And you, my friend, are the reason we are taking these photos in the first place.

4. I will never say no to bringing pets! Maybe you have a dog or new puppy, or you show and ride horses - bring them along or if your photo session is at your home, then we are right there to bring them in for a few pictures.

5. Lastly, relax and have fun! Like I said, this session is all about you. Smile big, give a cocky smirk, dance around in the street, and do your thing. Happy (early) graduation!!
